About the Role
As a Care Assistant / Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting individuals with their daily lives while promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
You will be expected to build positive professional relationships with the people you support and deliver care and support in accordance with individual needs, agreed care plans, risk assessments, company policies and relevant health and social care standards.
Depending on the needs of the individual, your duties may include:
- Supporting individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and continence care where required
- Supporting people to maintain their independence and daily routines
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting individuals with meal preparation, nutrition and hydration
- Supporting mobility and safe movement
- Supporting individuals to access their local community, appointments and social activities
- Supporting with medication in accordance with training, care plans and company procedures
- Observing and reporting changes in an individual's physical or emotional wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate, timely and confidential care records
- Reporting safeguarding concerns, incidents, accidents and other concerns appropriately
- Following infection prevention and control procedures
- Respecting privacy, dignity, equality, diversity and individual choice
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals where appropriate
- Following company policies, procedures and professional boundaries at all times

Previous experience within health and social care is desirable. However, we also welcome applications from individuals who demonstrate the right values, attitude and commitment to providing high-quality support.
Driving
A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle would be advantageous due to the community-based nature of the role and travel between service users.
