Shifts are 24.5 hours 10am - 10.30am the following day and include an onsite sleep-in from 11pm to 7am.
Benjamin UK is looking for a Deputy Manager for Children's Residential Care (12-18yrs EBD). Along with great pay we offer company pension, an excellent training package and flexible working patterns. The salary is £36,608 per annum, plus on call rates in the region of £2400 per year.
The candidate must have at least 2 years experience working in children's residential care, and hold a Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential care.
A level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) is desirable.

As a Deputy Manager you will:
- Assist Home Manager in providing 24 hour management of a residential home for young people with educational and behavioural difficulties with some criminal tendencies
- Help promote a stimulating, caring and culturally appropriate environment for the young people
- Work closely with young people and their families according to programmes and plans that have been implemented
- Assist the individuals in our care to live full and meaningful lifes, develop their potential and promote their rights.
The successful Deputy Manager will meet the following criteria:
- Hold a full UK driving licence for a manual vehicle.
- Have a Diploma/NVQ3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Possess excellent communication, organisational skills and resilience.
- Have the ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with individual service users, their family and professional colleagues.
- Have a desire to succeed.
- Have a degree in psychology, criminology, mental health, nursing or similar ideally but not essential.
This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS and references.
Social Media checks will also be carried out for successful candidate.
The hours of work of work are 2 x shifts of 24.5hours (10am- 10.30am the following day including sleep in) and 1 x 9-5pm per week.
