Job Description:
We are looking for a practical and reliable Site Supervisor to support the day-to-day management of a residential construction project.
The Site Supervisor will be based on site and responsible for coordinating subcontractors, monitoring daily progress and workmanship, maintaining site standards, and reporting any issues to the Project Manager / Construction Manager.
This role would suit someone with good residential construction experience who is confident in managing day-to-day site activities and subcontractors.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise day-to-day activities on site and coordinate subcontractors and trades.
- Ensure works are progressing in accordance with drawings, specifications and agreed programme.
- Monitor workmanship and identify quality issues or defects at an early stage.
- Coordinate daily site activities, deliveries, access and materials.
- Ensure subcontractors maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Support the implementation of site Health & Safety requirements and ensure site rules are followed.
- Carry out regular site checks and raise any safety, quality or construction concerns promptly.
- Maintain basic daily site records, including progress photos and site updates.
- Report progress, delays, labour levels and key issues to the Project Manager / Construction Manager.
- Assist with snagging and ensure subcontractors complete outstanding works.
- Liaise with the project team to resolve day-to-day construction issues.
- Attend site meetings where required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Assistant Site Manager or Foreman, preferably on residential construction projects.
- Good practical understanding of construction sequencing and residential building works.
- Confident supervising and coordinating multiple subcontractors.
- Able to read and understand construction drawings.
- Good understanding of site Health & Safety requirements.
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
- Valid CSCS card.
- First Aid qualification preferred.
- Organised, reliable and comfortable working independently on site.
- Good communication skills and able to provide clear progress updates.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is hands-on and proactive, rather than purely office or paperwork focused. You should be comfortable being on site throughout the day, checking works, speaking with subcontractors and identifying issues before they affect programme or quality.
Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
