Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tyre Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Duties
- Remove and replace tyres using appropriate hand and power tools
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and punctures, and advise customers accordingly
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
- Perform tyre repairs such as patching or plugging as required
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety standards
- Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining tyre options and maintenance advice to clients
- Use specialised equipment to ensure tyres are fitted correctly and safely
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles before and after tyre fitting procedures
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge or experience in automotive maintenance is desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Prior experience with tyre fitting or automotive repair is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including manoeuvring tyres of various sizes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks efficiently
