John G Baird is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Painter to join our team working across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. This is a varied role suited to a skilled all-rounder who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will carry out a range of maintenance, painting and plastering works within occupied and void properties while representing the company in a professional manner at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works
- Complete plastering and surface preparation works to a high standard
- Undertake general maintenance and repair tasks as required
- Measure up jobs accurately for pricing and material requirements
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and safety on site
- Liaise professionally with customers, tenants and colleagues
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in painting, decorating and plastering
- Good all-round maintenance skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to measure and assess jobs for quotations/pricing
- Strong communication and customer care skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and manage workload effectively
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work well within a team environment
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within domestic maintenance environments
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures
- Additional trade skills would be advantageous
