Role Overview
You’ll ensure the accurate preparation, handling, and despatch of finished electronic products to customers in a timely and efficient manner. The role supports the wider manufacturing and logistics teams by maintaining high standards of quality, organisation, and customer service throughout the despatch process.
Hours - 8:30am – 5:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for despatch in line with customer orders and specifications.
- Receive goods in and store parcels in their appropriate locations.
- Verify products, quantities, and documentation to ensure accuracy before shipment.
- Safely package electronic components and products, ensuring protection against damage in transit.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including delivery notes, labels, and courier paperwork.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
- Arrange and manage courier collections and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of despatched goods using internal systems.
- Perform stock checks and assist with inventory control when required.
- Ensure all despatch activities meet quality standards and customer requirements.
About you
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or despatch role within manufacturing or electronics.
- Experience working in electronics manufacturing or handling sensitive components (e.g., ESD awareness).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- IT skills (e.g. data entry, using order management systems).
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow processes and work instructions consistently.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Understanding of health & safety practices in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with ERP or stock management systems.
- Forklift or warehouse equipment certification (advantageous)
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, export documentation, or courier systems.
- Experience with barcode scanning systems.
