Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fitter/Installer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, adjusting, and maintaining custom window coverings with precision and care. You will ensure that each project meets high standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial settings, contributing to transforming spaces with expertly fitted shutters and blinds.
Duties
- Install a variety of window coverings using hand tools and power tools, ensuring secure and level fittings
- Adjust and fine-tune installed shutters and blinds for optimal operation and appearance
- Collaborate with manager and clients to understand specific installation requirements
- Conduct site inspections to assess conditions and prepare for installation tasks
- Maintain safety standards by following proper procedures during all fitting activities
- Perform routine maintenance or repairs on existing installations as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in DIY with a focus on shutter or blind fitting preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ladders, and safety equipment
- Ability to understand technical drawings, or plans for precise installation
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Someone reliable and consistent with good customer facing skills and demeanor.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, carrying boxes, bending, climbing ladders, and occasionally working in confined spaces
