Overview
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE SEEKING A LONG TERM POSITION WHOM CAN COMMIT TO THE ROLE FOR AT LEAST 12 MONTHS. This role is not seasonal or short term. Applicants must be able to work independently and be available weekdays and Saturdays. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/All Rounder to join our team. Initially you will be working 20-30 hours + anytime between 8am - 4pm Monday to Saturday. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring that every drink is crafted to perfection. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. You will be also required to assist with all other kitchen/cafe duties as required.
Job Type: Permanent contract, part-time but must have availability to work most Saturdays, but not Sundays or Bank Holidays currently.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations.
Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Assist with all other kitchen/cafe duties as required.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and understanding of food safety practices.
Strong basic math's skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory.
Excellent time management abilities to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers and colleagues alike.
