Registered Nurse Manager – Pondsmead Nursing Home, Oakhill
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to join our team at Pondsmead Nursing Home in Oakhill.

Pondsmead Nursing Home provides high-quality nursing, residential and palliative care for older people within a welcoming and supportive environment.
As Registered Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, compassionate and person-centred care.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the staff team effectively.
- Ensuring high standards of care are delivered to all residents.
- Supporting and overseeing recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development.
- Ensuring staff training and competency requirements are maintained.
- Maintaining appropriate staffing levels and ensuring the home operates safely.
- Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation are accurate, person-centred and regularly reviewed.
- Monitoring medication management, clinical care, safeguarding and infection prevention and control.
- Ensuring the home operates in accordance with Avon Care Homes Ltd policies and procedures, CQC regulations and relevant professional standards.
- Maintaining excellent relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, commissioners and other stakeholders.
- Supporting audits, quality assurance processes and continuous improvement throughout the home.
- Promoting an open, honest and inclusive culture where residents and staff feel valued and supported.

Skills and Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse / Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent management qualification, desirable.
- Previous management or senior nursing experience within a care home or similar setting.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
- Strong Leadership Skills is essential
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and standards within adult social care.
- Good clinical knowledge and understanding of safe nursing practice.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence desirable.
The successful candidate should be confident, approachable and able to lead by example while maintaining high standards of care, compliance and professionalism throughout the home.
