Job Title: HGV Class 1 Day Driver

BASIC Based on up to 55 hours per week (11 Hrs a day)
£14.50 per hour
OVERTIME RATE
Paid for hours worked beyond 11 a day Mon–
Fri £17.50 per hour
MEAL ALLOWANCE
TAX Free £10.00 per day
NIGHT OUT ALLOWANCE
TAX Free £26.20 per night
OVERTIME Weekend/Bank
Holiday £17.50 per hour
EXTRAS Splitter Bonus – Day Rate
£20.00 per occasion
HAZ (standard) Day Rate
£25.00 per occasion
HAZ (Class 1) Day Rate
£75.00 per Occasion

Role Overview
LME Recruitment is searching for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our busy logistics team in Southampton. If you want consistent day work, value being home every evening, and pride yourself on delivering goods safely and on time, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
What You’ll Be Doing
Transporting goods nationwide during daytime shifts (no nights out)
Carrying out pre- and post-trip vehicle checks
️ Coordinating with the transport office for route planning and delivery schedules
Keeping accurate logbooks, delivery records, and paperwork
Securing loads and ensuring all cargo is transported safely
Following all safety regulations and maintaining a safety-first attitude
Providing friendly, professional customer service at every delivery point
Looking after your vehicle, both inside and out
Working Hours: Day shifts, Monday to Friday, no nights out required
