We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises (predominately toilet blocks and shower facilities). The ideal candidate will have previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning, demonstrating attention to detail and a professional attitude. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.
Days of work will be Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday, roughly 30 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including washrooms, site accommodation and communal areas.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals to ensure surfaces are hygienic and presentable.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and soap dispensers as needed.
- Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Driving licence is required.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A professional attitude and good communication skills.
