The PDI Engineer is responsible for ensuring that new assets are in perfect condition before they are delivered to customers. Here are the key duties and responsibilities:
- Inspecting assets for any damage or missing components upon delivery
- Performing minor repairs and adjustments to ensure that the assets meet our and factory standards
- Testing asset systems such as safety functions, mast, attachments, steering, brakes, transmission, battery and engine operation but not limited too
- Where required, clean and touch up paint work, fill with necessary fluids such as Oil, LPG, Deionised Water and Antifreeze
- Installing optional equipment as specified by the clients
- Documenting and reporting any discrepancies or issues found during the inspection
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring all tools and assets are used safely
- When required unload containers, deliveries, collections and organise internally and document all goods received and despatched
- Ensure that external areas are maintained and clean
- Carry out stock checks on a weekly basisand report on any variances
Ideal Candidate Qualities
- Attention to detail and a thorough approach to inspections.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Good communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with other team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
