Renato’s is delighted to be hiring an Assistant Manager for our busy venue, located in Bristol city centre.
The business is split into two areas:
The Pizzeria - serving pizza by the slice late into the night 7 days a week, hosting DJs and live music at the weekends.
The Bar - the beating heart of Renato’s; serving a large range of drinks from cider, beers and wine to cocktails and more.
We are a thriving late night venue, specialising in craft beers and cocktails, natural wines and our famous Detroit and New York style pizzas. We’re looking for someone with both bar and food service experience, a hardworking but fun attitude, and who are excited by the prospect of being part of a venue continuing to grow and establishing its place within King St and the city.
Assistant Manager
As an Assistant Manager in this venue, you will work closely with the General Manager and management team to ensure the success of the business, working within budgets to achieve financial targets. You will be comfortable maintaining a positive working atmosphere, managing a team, adhering to proper practices and company policies, being creative in problem-solving, sales strategies and more.
You will be able to show that you are:
- An excellent motivator, confident and able to manage a large team. This means bringing people together across the multiple areas of the business utilising the teams to their strengths. Showcasing excellent customer service and assisting the manager to develop and train team members.
- Capable and independent. We treat our managers with respect and give them as much freedom and independence as possible to help shape your job and the venue. We want you to help us make it an environment that is as enjoyable as possible, for both customers and staff.
Ideally, you will have the following:
- Experience of running or managing food service, and working closely with a kitchen team to deliver a smooth and efficient service on a regular basis.
- Experience of managing a large, busy bar.
- Experience making cocktails and a good knowledge of wine.
- An interest in craft beer and pizza.
