Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser who is NVQ Level 2 qualified and experienced with RxWeb pharmacy software. In this vital role, you will assist in dispensing prescriptions accurately, providing excellent patient care, and supporting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately using RxWeb pharmacy management software, ensuring all medication details are correct and complete.
- Support pharmacists in preparing and labeling medications, adhering strictly to safety protocols and legal requirements.
- Assist patients with medication queries, providing clear instructions and ensuring understanding of their treatment plans.
- Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications, stock levels, and patient interactions to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Manage stock inventory efficiently, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals to prevent shortages or expiries.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to medication handling, storage, and disposal.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by delivering friendly, professional service at all times.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a pharmacy dispenser or technician within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using RxWeb pharmacy software for dispensing and record keeping.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care principles.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members in a professional manner.
