We are a family-run training company looking for a friendly and proactive person to help us look after our training candidates. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing their own work, and working as part of a small team.
We are a busy training centre providing lunches to up to 40 learners each day. The meals are a seasonal mix of sandwiches, soups, salads and cakes which are all made in house. The menu is already planned and food will have been ordered. Support and guidance to meet our high standards will be given.
A typical day would include:
- Greeting training candidates and collecting lunch orders
- Preparing meals for a lunch service that starts around 11.30am
- Serving meals to training candidates and trainers
- Cleaning down kitchen after meal preparation
There are days when we would have fewer training candidates on site. On these days you would be asked to complete deep cleaning tasks.
Preferred Experience:
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Knowledge of food preparation for special dietary needs
- Customer Service Experience
- Experience of using appropriate documents such as Safer Food, Better Business
Contract will be set at 8 hours per week, over 2 days. Work hours will be 8am to 12pm Wednesdays & Fridays. More hours will occasionally be available to cover staff holidays.
