Essential Criteria:
- At least 1 years experience of completing stock takes.
- Forklift/combi lift truck experience.
- Picking and packing experience.
Job Type:
- Full-time, with a permanent position becoming available after the probationary period ends.
- Daytime hours, Monday - Friday.
- This position requires an immediate start.
- Having the ability to carry out the above in accordance with our Quality and Health & Safety standards.
Key Tasks and Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments of goods, materials, and supplies.
- Inspect received items for damage, discrepancies, and quality issues.
- Verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, locations, and movements.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and prevent overstocking.
- Store goods in designated locations following the warehouse layout and storage guidelines.
- Ensure goods are stored safely and securely to prevent damage and loss.
- Organize the storage area for easy access, retrieval, and efficient space utilization.
- Pick and pack items according to customer orders or production requirements and supply kits to the assembly line for builds.
- Prepare and label shipments for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with logistics and shipping teams to arrange timely deliveries.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Load trailers with conveyors and fabricated components for ongoing delivery.
- Adhere to safety regulations and warehouse operating procedures.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment to minimize hazards.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and promote safe working practices.
- Work closely with the inventory control manager, suppy chain team and production to coordinate inventory needs and activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory status, issues, and improvements.
- Provide support during stocktakes, audits, and inventory reconciliations.
- Identify opportunities for improving warehouse processes, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Participate in training programs and implement best practices in inventory management.
- Suggest and implement improvements to warehouse layout and storage methods.
