Overview
We are seeking a Deputy Manager for our well established after school club located in Brocagh, Co Tyrone. In this deputy leadership role, you will support the management team in overseeing daily childcare operations, ensuring high standards of education, and maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children, parents, and staff alike. Your enthusiasm and management skills will help create an inspiring space where our children can continue to learn, grow, and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in coordinating daily activities and ensuring smooth operational flow within the childcare setting
- Promote and implement age appropriate activities and experiences
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and address any concerns promptly
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations related to childcare practices - courses can be arranged if needed.
- Participate in staff training sessions and meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance team performance
Qualifications
- Experience of a similar position in an afterschool setting is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
- Good understanding of child development principles, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Valid driving license is preferred for transportation needs related to the role.
- Relevant qualifications: Level 5 is desirable but not essential. Level 3 is essential + the successful candidate must be willing to enrol in level 5 (financial assistance will be offered).

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
