Responsibilities
- Monitor premises continuously using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Conduct regular surveillance patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or breaches
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing customer behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, by providing first aid when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of security activities, incidents, and surveillance logs for accountability and reporting purposes
- Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Collaborate with emergency responders during incidents to ensure swift resolution and safety of all individuals on-site
Skills
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems effectively
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to deter theft and reduce inventory shrinkage
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations, including administering first aid when required
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail during patrols and inspections
- Clear communication skills for reporting incidents accurately and interacting professionally with staff and visitors
- Basic understanding of security protocols and procedures applicable to various environments
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness
