JOB DESCRIPTION
Candidate must be able to pay to have a enhanced DBS check carried out. (Please note should you be successful the company will provide you with a link for a enhanced DBS check, I would advise you do not apply for a standard DBS check this will not be accepted).
Position: Cleaner: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 18.00-20.00pm
Responsible to: Nursery Management Team and Company Directors
It is the cleaner’s responsibility to have a holistic view of the nursery and maintain a clean, safe environment. The cleaner must remain loyal to the company and report any problems or concerns to the Manager. Above all, the cleaner must work in a professional way, displaying a positive attitude, integrity and calm assurance at all times.
Duties:
The Nursery:
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and provision in accordance with health and safety standards recommended by the Environmental Health Department including all equipment, surfaces, and storage.
- Follow nursery policies & procedures
- Responsible for all cleaning around nursery and nursery office/ areas.
- Cleans floors and rooms. including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning as well as windows.
- Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying rubbish, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping all floors, and cleaning toilets.
- Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
- Deep cleans during the holiday periods.
- Locking up/key holder (After probationary period is passed)
Staff:
- Maintain high standards of professionalism at all times, be helpful and supportive.
- Ensure the uniforms provided are worn at all times.
Health & Safety:
- Be aware of COSSH regulations.
- Ensure the measurements and dilutions of chemicals are accurate.
- Storage of all cleaning materials and chemicals to be locked in the allocated area. This MUST be monitored and checked.
- To check and maintain all cleaning equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Stock Check:
- To regulate the use of cleaning materials and to request re-order of products when required (prior to running out of materials).

Pay: £5,642.00-£6,609.20 per year
