About Barrington SEO
Founded in 2024, Barrington SEO is a specialist SEO and Digital PR agency experiencing rapid, sustainable growth. Over the past two years we've built the business alongside a trusted network of freelancers and specialists, and we're now ready to make our first full-time hire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage of the agency's journey, giving you genuine influence over how we deliver SEO, shape processes, and support our growing client base.
You'll work directly alongside Founder Emily Barrington, delivering SEO strategies across a diverse portfolio of clients. You'll take ownership of research, analysis, reporting and strategic recommendations while supporting client relationships and helping to drive measurable organic growth.
You'll also work closely with Laura Wilson, Co-Founder and Head of Outreach Strategy, gaining exposure to Digital PR and learning how SEO and Digital PR combine to deliver outstanding organic performance.
The Role
We're looking for someone who enjoys digging into data, solving problems and helping clients grow through search.
This isn't a production-line SEO role. You'll be trusted to think critically, challenge assumptions, prioritise opportunities and contribute to strategy, rather than simply completing a list of tasks.
As you develop within the business, you'll be given increasing ownership of client accounts and the opportunity to shape how your career progresses at Barrington SEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct SEO research including keyword research, competitor analysis, content gap analysis, technical audits and internal linking recommendations.
- Produce clear, commercially focused recommendations that clients can easily understand and implement.
- Support the development of SEO strategies and roadmaps, adapting priorities as new opportunities emerge.
- Attend weekly and monthly client meetings, presenting work and contributing to strategic discussions.
- Build strong relationships with clients through regular communication and progress updates.
- Collect, analyse and interpret SEO performance data, taking increasing ownership of monthly reporting.
- Monitor rankings, traffic, conversions and other key performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Keep projects organised using our project management systems, ensuring work is delivered on time, and stakeholders have clear visibility of progress.
- Stay up to date with developments across SEO, search engines and AI-driven search experiences, sharing insights with the wider team.
- Collaborate closely with our Digital PR team to maximise the impact of campaigns across both SEO and PR.
About You
You're an experienced SEO who enjoys taking ownership of your work and seeing projects through from research to recommendation.
You understand that great SEO isn't about following checklists, it's about analysing data, identifying opportunities and making commercially sound decisions.
You're naturally curious, enjoy solving problems and have excellent attention to detail. You're confident working independently but know when to ask questions or seek guidance.
Most importantly, you're someone who genuinely enjoys SEO and wants to continue developing your expertise within a growing agency.
