Friends of Ham is an independent craft beer bar and charcuterie in Ilkley specialising in charcuterie, cheese, small plates, wine and beer.
We’re looking for a new member of the kitchen team in Ilkley. This is a part time position, mainly weekends and some evenings.
We are looking for someone ideally with a passion for food and good quality produce.
It’s an open kitchen and you will be working as part of a small friendly team - there is between 1 & 2 people in the kitchen dependent on the time of the week so you must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The kitchen is front and centre so is a bright and social space to work. We specialise in platters of cured meats and cheeses, grilled sandwiches and a rotating small plates menu so there is lots of variety.
We require some form of commercial kitchen or food prep experience. Benefits include:
Pay is £12.71 per hour
Flexible hours - We try and ensure all staff have a good work/life balance - 2 - 3 shifts a week in the range 10 - 20 hours.
Great tips using a tronc system where they are split equally between all members of the team based on hours worked - generally £2 to £3 per hour depending on the time of year.
Staff discount, free meal on shift and drink at end of shift.
We are ideally looking for someone to start as soon as possible but can be flexible depending on your requirements, notice period etc.
