Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Level 2 Technician to join our technical team at HiQ Tyres & Autocare Colchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing brakes, tyres, and diagnostics. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all vehicles
- Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and techniques, then carry out repairs or adjustments as required.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts utilised for each piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve operational procedures and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised diagnostic equipment safely and effectively during maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proven mechanical knowledge. Level 2 min
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Prior experience in a similar technical role is desirable, relevant training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
