The successful candidate will have significant menu input, and have a theatre to demonstrate their passion and abilities. its almost like having your own kitchen
It’s a smaller kitchen with a tight team, serving. 200-250 covers weekly.
Stay overs / possible live in.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
- Coordinate daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
- Train and mentor staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and service standards
- Monitor portion control and minimise waste to optimise efficiency
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through consistent quality of food and service
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff development
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Strong background in food production, menu development, and kitchen organisation
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Previous experience working in a restaurant setting is essential; hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for culinary excellence and innovation in creating memorable dining experiences
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,493.59-£32,000.00 per year
