ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for experienced Groundworkers to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in Littlestone - New Romney. The successful candidate will have experience in driveway construction, scaffold mat installation, and base course tarmac works to plot drives, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation and positioning of scaffold mats in accordance with site requirements
- Construction of plot driveways, including excavation, sub-base preparation, and finishing works
- Laying and compacting Type 1 sub-base materials to required levels and specifications
- Installing kerbs, edgings, block paving, and associated external works
- Assisting with the laying of base course tarmac to plot drives
- Operating compacting equipment and working alongside plant operators
- Carrying out reinstatement and finishing works to completed driveways and access roads
- Reading and working from site drawings, levels, and setting-out information where required
- Maintaining safe, tidy, and compliant work areas at all times
- Working as part of a gang to achieve project deadlines and quality standards
REQUIREMENTS
- CSCS Groundworker Card or equivalent, with proven experience in driveway and external works
- Experience installing scaffold mats and plot driveways
- Knowledge of sub-base preparation, compaction, and finishing works
- Ability to follow site drawings, levels, and supervisor instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team
- Right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE
- CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper
- CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Ride-On Roller
- Experience with base course tarmac installation
- CAT & Genny Training
- Safety Critical Medical
- Street Works (NRSWA) Accreditation
- Experience working within established groundwork gangs
