We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated Café / Coffee Shop Supervisor & All-Rounder to join our team on a full-time basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy café environment and is ready to take on additional responsibility. You will be replacing a long-standing team member who held a key position within the business, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop into a supervisory and managerial role.
Key ResponsibilitiesDay-to-Day Café Operations
- Preparing and serving high-quality coffees, teas, and other beverages
- Barista duties and maintaining coffee equipment
- Food preparation and light cooking
- Serving customers and providing excellent customer service
- Cash handling and operating the till/POS system
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the café
- Opening and closing procedures
- Supporting the smooth running of daily operations
Supervisory & Management Responsibilities
As your knowledge of the business develops, you will take on increasing responsibility, including:
- Assisting with staff supervision and day-to-day management
- Supporting rota planning and staffing requirements
- Food, beverage, and supply ordering
- Stock management and stock control
- Maintaining food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP records
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards
- Assisting with staff training and development
- Helping identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience
What We're Looking For
- Previous café, coffee shop, or hospitality experience
- Strong barista skills and experience preparing specialty coffees
- Experience with food preparation and basic cooking
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive, flexible, and reliable attitude
- Supervisory or management experience is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided for the right candidate
Working Hours
- Full-time position
- Weekend work is required
- Flexibility to cover opening and closing shifts as required
