We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy food service environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operational flow
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, serving, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation and storage practices
- Enforce health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols and hygiene standards
- Provide training and support to team members on food handling, safety procedures, and customer service
- Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and motivate team members to achieve targets
- Handle customer queries or complaints professionally and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies
- Assist with scheduling staff shifts to optimise productivity
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving or hospitality management
- Previous supervising or management experience within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food preparation processes
- Experience in managing restaurant operations or similar environments is highly desirable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus
