Self-Employed Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist – ADHD Assessments Face to Face Assessments at the London Clinic + Flexible Home-Based Admin
This is a “pay per appointment” role:
£459 per ADHD assessment & £51 per Titration appointment
Compass Associates are working exclusively with an established and growing independent mental healthcare provider to recruit an experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a specialist ADHD assessment clinic in London.
This is a self-employed opportunity offering a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week, with face-to-face clinical work delivered from the central London clinic and the flexibility to complete administration and report writing from home.
The Role
The position will primarily sit within the provider’s CAMHS ADHD pathway, where you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive ADHD assessments for children and young people
- Undertaking ADHD medication initiation and titration clinics
- Producing high-quality clinical reports following assessments
- Providing diagnostic feedback and recommendations to children, young people and their families
- Offering specialist advice and support to GPs, other professionals and service users regarding ADHD medication
- Responding to clinical queries from parents and families
- Working collaboratively alongside a wider multidisciplinary team
- Potentially undertaking occasional ADI-R assessments and general CAMHS psychiatry appointments, depending on experience and interest
You will join an established multidisciplinary team including Consultant Psychiatrists, Paediatricians, Specialist Mental Health Nurses, ADHD Coaches, Assistant Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists and SEN specialists.
Location
Assessments must be carried out in person, at the Central London clinic, while administration and report writing can be completed remotely and flexibly around your preferred working hours.
Essential criteria
To be considered, you must:
- Hold full GMC registration without conditions and a valid licence to practise
- Hold MRCPsych or an equivalent qualification
- Ideally be on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; applications may also be considered from Adult Psychiatrists with a strong CAMHS clinical background
- Have previous experience conducting ADHD assessments
- Have experience of ADHD medication initiation and titration
- Be able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week
- Be willing to undertake face-to-face clinical appointments in London
