We’re looking for an inspiring, commercially minded and people-focused Hotel Operations Manager to join the leadership team at The Fish Hotel, one of Farncombe Estate’s award-winning hotels, set within our beautiful hillside woodland above Broadway.
The Fish is all about relaxed, feel-good luxury, where guests can escape everyday life and enjoy memorable stays in the heart of the Cotswolds. As our Hotel Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience, leading our department heads and their teams to deliver outstanding hospitality while driving commercial performance across the hotel. You'll be a visible leader, an expert coach, and an ambassador for the values and culture that make Farncombe such a special place to work.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading, motivating and developing high-performing teams across the hotel
- Setting the standard for exceptional guest service and ensuring every guest experience exceeds expectations
- Supporting and coaching Heads of Department to achieve operational excellence
- Monitoring staffing levels, rotas and labour costs to ensure efficiency and profitability
- Driving revenue opportunities and promoting a commercial mindset throughout the business
- Analysing guest feedback and implementing improvements to enhance service delivery
- Ensuring teams are well briefed and prepared for day-to-day operations
- Monitoring standards across all departments to ensure the hotel consistently delivers a premium product
- Identifying training and development opportunities to strengthen capability across the team
- Reviewing business performance, KPIs and operational reports to maximise results
- Acting as Duty Manager when required and handling guest escalations professionally and effectively
- Building strong relationships with guests, colleagues, suppliers and local businesses
The details:
- £49,650 per annum
- 40 hours per week across 5 days
- Weekend working required
- Meals on duty and uniform provided
