SHIFT WORK - INCLUDING NIGHT SHIFT AVAILABLE - We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various welding techniques, including Mig welding. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components to meet precise specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship throughout the production process. Overtime & shift work always available - increased salary for later shifts to be discussed at interview stage.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform welding tasks using Mig welding techniques, ensuring strong and durable joints.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and finish metal materials.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Overtime available.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
- Proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of waste compaction & recycling machinery preferable but not essential.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid welding certification is preferred but not mandatory.
