Part-Time / Full Time Support Worker – Residential Services (Welshpool)
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Part-Time / Full Time Support Workers to join our Residential Team at Cae Melyn in Welshpool.
Cae Melyn provides residential support for adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, challenging behaviours, and physical disabilities. We are committed to delivering person-centred care, ensuring that each individual's needs, wishes, and goals are at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping people live as independently as possible while promoting their dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred support with daily living activities, including personal care where required and in accordance with each individual's wishes. This may include assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and supporting individuals to take or manage their medication.
- Supporting service users with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, gardening, and helping them personalise or decorate their bedrooms.
- Encouraging and supporting individuals to access the community, including shopping, attending medical appointments, visiting the dentist, and participating in social and recreational activities such as swimming, football matches, or other hobbies and interests.
- Promoting independence, choice, and inclusion while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Working Pattern
Successful applicants must be flexible and able to work a two-week rolling rota, which includes:
- Early shifts
- Late shifts
- Sleep-in shifts
- Alternate weekends
