Service & Warranty Administrator
LOCATION: Johnston Gilpin & Co, Lisburn Depot.
Johnston Gilpin & Co are an agricultural, commercial and domestic groundscare main dealer with John Deere, Kramer, DeLaval franchises to name but a few. We are a long established and reputable dealer since 1968 and are now wholly owned by Stephen W Moore Ltd. Our dealership supports customers province wide, sustaining a high level of customer support throughout.
An opportunity has arisen for the position of Service & Warranty Administrator based at our Lisburn location. With a methodical approach and eye for detail the successful candidate will fulfil a vital role; processing, submitting and tracking warranty claims. A team player, the role requires communication with the manufacturer, and it will be a requirement to maintain a good professional relationship and assist Technicians and Management Personnel with warranty queries.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensuring all administration duties within Service Department are carried out in line with company policy, warranty protocols and given due diligence.
- Processing of warranty claims in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines whilst maintaining accurate records of all claims and following up on any issues within agreed timeframes.
- Invoicing of retail jobs.
- Time approval for technicians.
- Proactively contacting customers to help grow our business.
- Monitor and utilise Connected Support.
- Assist with customer correspondence and booking of jobs.
Required skills
- Basic numeracy.
- Excellent literacy with the ability to articulate administrative descriptions fully and professionally.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to adapt to manufacturer IT systems.
- Attention to detail essential.
- Excellent communication.
- Ability to adopt and operate in a process driven environment.
Qualities required
- Ability to be part of a team and work willingly with those around you.
- Be self-motivated.
- Possess integrity.
Desirable criteria
- Previous automotive or machinery industry-based experience.
- Product knowledge for John Deere agricultural equipment.
