Pupils who attend the academy have challenging and often complex needs, and exhibit behaviours that prevent them from attending a mainstream school. You will be allocated to a caseload of pupils. The role will involve supporting pupils off site either in their homes or other public venues to complete work such as maths, English and PSD. You will also organise pupils completing their Functional Skill exams and may be involved with taking pupils to have an initial visit to an AP or take pupils to visit a potential new school. You will also meet new pupils to the academy and complete our suite of baseline assessments for induction. This role will involve lone working and travel. You will plan your own diary. Where caseloads reduce, you may be required to support on site.
