Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Multi Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. Responsibilities
- Assist with carpentry tasks including framing, door and window installation, and general woodwork
- Support roofing activities such as shingle laying, flashing installation, and roof repairs
- Perform construction painting to prepare surfaces and ensure quality finishes
- Carry out plumbing work including pipe installation, repairs, and fixture fitting
- Execute masonry tasks such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing
- Operate welding equipment for fabrication and structural repairs
- Handle electrical tasks like installing wiring, outlets, and fixtures with safety compliance in mind
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively across various trades to complete assigned tasks
- Support fabrication activities by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices
Skills
- Proven experience or training in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work or related trades
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels and screwdrivers
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, grinders, saws and sanders
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to supporting colleagues on-site
- Knowledge of safety standards related to construction sites and skilled trades
