Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team on a freelance basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections to ensure smooth finishes.
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Follow technical specifications and colour schemes to achieve desired aesthetic results.
- Protect surrounding areas with masking tape or coverings to prevent splashes or spills.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any faults or repairs needed.
- Collaborate with clients or project managers to discuss design preferences and project timelines.
- Complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is required.
- Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and decorating techniques.
- Valid driving licence.
- Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Strong communication skills to interpret instructions accurately and liaise effectively with colleagues.
- Previous experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial projects will be considered an asset.

Pay: £19.00 per hour
