Salary: £50,254 per annum (pro rata for part time staff)
Bonus: Up to 10% discretionary annual bonus
About the Role
CW Medicines Ltd is seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Pharmacist to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading NHS Foundation Trusts, providing high quality pharmaceutical services across Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and the 56 Dean Street Clinic.
We are looking for a motivated pharmacist who thrives in a busy environment, demonstrates excellent professional standards, and has a positive, solution focused approach. Working closely with the Superintendent Pharmacist and wider pharmacy team, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
This role would suit a pharmacist who enjoys working collaboratively, is committed to continuous improvement, and is keen to contribute to the ongoing development of the pharmacy service in a changing NHS landscape.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure the safe, efficient and effective delivery of all aspects of the Outpatient Pharmacy Service.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and patient safety in line with GPhC, Department of Health and local requirements.
- Provide day to day leadership and act as a role model for pharmacy staff.
- Support the efficient management and administration of CW Medicines Ltd.
- Work collaboratively with the Superintendent Pharmacist and fellow pharmacists to support service continuity and minimise reliance on locum pharmacists.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Leadership, supervision and delegation skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Proficient in using pharmacy systems, keyboard skills and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to short notice changes when required.
- Pragmatic, methodical, resilient and professional.
Desirable Criteria
- Evidence of advanced clinical knowledge through postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Experience as a qualified pharmacist across a range of settings and roles.
- Experience of supporting service, business or team development.
- Understanding of primary and secondary care prescribing issues.
- Extensive knowledge of medicines legislation and pharmacy practice guidance.
