Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are followed
- Support the team during service hours by serving food and keeping your work station clean and tidy.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Contribute to menu development ideas and assist with special event catering when needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential; although enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally valued
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience in meal preparation and presentation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as required
