We are seeking a skilled Structural & Architectural Metal Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components used in various architectural and structural applications. Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques suitable for architectural and structural applications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment efficiently and safely
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials with accuracy
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise fabrication
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet project standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in the installation of fabricated components on-site when required
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding and other welding methods relevant to <LOCATION> welding standards
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal work and assembly processes
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Familiarity with the use of various welding techniques specific to structural and architectural projects
- Ability to work accurately under deadlines while maintaining high safety standards
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of fabrication and assembly
