We are currently looking for Café Assistants to join the team in our onsite café, which is open to our visitors 7 days a week 10am to 3:30pm.
Café Assistant
Part time and Casual Zero Hours contracts available
Salary range £9.25 - £12.71 per hour
Annual leave 26 days (FTE) excluding bank holidays, pro rata to hours worked
Our café is a busy, vibrant place, offering a great selection of delicious, home-cooked food, all freshly cooked to order.
Breakfast, lunches, tasty snacks, indulgent selection of cakes, tea, coffee, soft drinks, smoothies and much more! Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and other dietary requirements catered for.

Main Purpose of the Role:

Offer our visitors and warm and friendly welcome to the café
- To deliver excellent customer service ensuring a positive experience for all customers

Take food and drink orders at the takeaway order point and through table service

Operating the till, maintaining accuracy with orders, payments and cash handling

Cleaning the café and kitchen areas to standards set by the Café Manager

Preparing orders ready for service, drinks, cold food, pre-prepared food

Preparing coffees using barista skills acquired through training provided.

Being aware of customer and their needs
