Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within their own homes and care settings. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence and well-being
- Administer medication as directed and ensure adherence to prescribed routines
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary, respecting dietary requirements
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans regularly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship
- Support clients with light household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and shopping errands
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Use IT systems to document visits, update records, and communicate relevant information securely
- Drive between different client locations safely and efficiently using your own transport
Skills
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely between appointments
- Experience working in a care or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage time effectively across multiple visits
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining professional standards of care

Pay: £12.75-£14.85 per hour
