Choux Box is looking for a new team member to join our growing business in Bath.
We are looking for a friendly, confident and enthusiastic Choux Sales Person and Barista to join our front of house team across our Bath cafés and retail locations in Bath. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with customers, has a passion for good coffee and great service, and is excited to be part of a small independent patisserie business.
At Choux Box, we specialise in choux buns, coffee and patisserie with personality. We are looking for someone who can help create a warm, welcoming and high quality experience for every customer, while keeping our spaces clean, organised and well presented.
Role overview
Your role will include serving customers, helping them choose from our menu of choux buns and patisserie items, preparing hot drinks to a good standard and supporting the day to day running of our Bath locations.
You will be a happy, friendly face for Choux Box, with good knowledge of our products and a genuine interest in creating a positive experience for customers.
Responsibilities
Preparing and serving barista standard coffee and hot drinks
Making drinks confidently and consistently
Serving customers in a friendly and professional way
Helping customers choose from our choux buns, patisserie and drinks menu
Taking orders and using the till
Keeping the coffee area clean, organised and well stocked
Restocking cups, milk, packaging, retail items and café supplies
Keeping the shop clean, tidy and well presented throughout the day
Supporting the team during busy service periods
Following food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
Opening and closing the cafe locations
Building positive relationships with regular customers and the wider Choux Box team
We are looking for someone who is
Friendly, confident and welcoming with customers
Experienced in hospitality, cafés, coffee shops or customer service
Barista trained, or confident making coffee in a commercial setting
Passionate about great coffee, food and customer service
Clean, organised and tidy in their working style
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Motivated and able to work well on their own
Comfortable working as part of a small team
Able to stay calm and positive under pressure
A strong verbal communicator in English
