At Arqiva, we're looking for a talented Network Engineer to join our team at Emley Moor. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly skilled operational environment, managing and supporting large-scale network infrastructure while contributing to the performance, resilience, and availability of national mobile and telecoms networks.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability of critical network services, responding to incidents, supporting upgrades, and driving continuous improvement across our operational estate.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Network Engineer, you will:
- Monitor and manage RAN, Core and site-based network elements
- Ensure optimal network performance, coverage, capacity and service availability
- Diagnose and resolve faults across:
- Radio Access Networks (RAN)
- Regional Network Interfaces
- Core Network Services
- Transmission Systems
- Investigate network degradations and outages and implement corrective actions
- Lead technical responses during major service-impacting incidents
- Coordinate engineering teams and stakeholders to restore services quickly
- Assess planned network and RF changes to minimise operational risk
- Support network upgrades, site integrations and infrastructure projects
- Work closely with vendors, field engineers and technical partners
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Higher Education qualification or professional certification in a relevant discipline
- Strong understanding of telecommunications, data networks, or RF systems
- Knowledge of complex network architecture and operational support environments
- Ability to analyse incidents, troubleshoot network faults and resolve issues effectively
- Understanding of industry regulations, standards, SLAs and operational procedures
- Eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance within three months of joining
Desirable Experience
Experience with any of the following technologies would be advantageous:
- SolarWinds
- Splunk
- Cisco Routers
- Linux
- VMware vROPS
- VMware vRNI
- Log Insight
- ServiceNow FSM
- Incident Management platforms
Technical Knowledge
Knowledge and experience in areas such as:
- Fibre optic communications
- Digital signalling and coding techniques
- Modulation and multiplexing technologies
- RF systems and telecommunications networks
- Performance monitoring and testing tools
- Continuous improvement methodologies
