The Chase Care Home is a leading provider of care services in the United Kingdom. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Part-Time Cook to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Part-Time Cook with 2 years of experience to prepare and cook meals for our residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all meals are prepared to a high standard, in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook lunch for residents
* Follow menus to ensure consistency and quality of meals
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
* Manage food supplies, ensuring efficient use of resources
* Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
Requirements:
* 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or hospital setting
* NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent
* Food Safety and Hygiene certification
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Basic knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements
Desired Qualifications:
* City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking
* Experience of working with residents with specific dietary needs
* Knowledge of allergens and food intolerance
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-2pm
