Rugby Double Glazing (RDG) is a trusted installer of windows, doors, and roofing across Rugby and the surrounding areas of south Leicestershire, east Warwickshire, and west Northamptonshire. We're growing and looking for a skilled fitter to join our team.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Windows, Doors & Conservatory Fitter to carry out high-quality installations at customers' homes across our service area. This is a full-time position, and we're open to both employed and subcontractor arrangements depending on what suits you best.
Key Responsibilities
- Install uPVC, aluminium, and timber windows and doors to a high standard
- Fit conservatories, orangeries, and associated roofing systems
- Ensure all installations meet Building Regulations and FENSA/company quality standards
- Seal, finish, and make good all installation work, leaving sites clean and tidy
- Liaise professionally with customers throughout the job
- Work safely, following all relevant health and safety procedures
- Complete job sheets, sign-off paperwork, and report any issues to the office
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience fitting windows, doors, and/or conservatories (essential)
- Strong practical skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-facing manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- FENSA or similar industry certification (desirable but not essential — training may be provided)
- Own tools preferred (subcontractors must have own tools and, where applicable, insurance/CIS registration)
Pay & Employment Type
- Employed rate: £34,000+ per year, plus bonus, DOE (Depending on Experience)
- Subcontractor rate: negotiated separately
- Full-time position
