Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Builders Cleaners to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out cleaning duties on construction sites and newly completed properties to ensure they are safe, clean, and ready for handover to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing initial, sparkle, and final builders cleans on residential and commercial properties.
- Removing dust, debris, plaster, paint splashes, stickers, and other construction residue from all surfaces.
- Cleaning floors, walls, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard.
- Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and polishing surfaces as required.
- Cleaning internal glass, frames, fixtures, and fittings.
- Safely handling and using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Reporting any defects, damages, or health and safety concerns to the site supervisor.
- Working independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Maintaining cleaning equipment and ensuring supplies are used efficiently.
Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience in builders cleaning, commercial cleaning, or a similar cleaning role.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Valid CSCS card
Desirable:
- Valid IPaf card (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience working on construction sites.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
- Experience using professional cleaning equipment and machinery.

Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial premises, including floors, surfaces, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals efficiently and safely.
- Maintain cleanliness in designated areas such as washrooms, kitchens, offices, and communal spaces.
- Dispose of waste materials responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to site-specific health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Builders cleaning work is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and procedures relevant to commercial environments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid CSCS card is essential for this role.

Pay: £14.50-£15.00 per hour
