Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. As a Yard Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks around the yard. This is a physically demanding role that requires lifting and the ability to operate a wide variety of machinery.
Responsibilities:
· A self-starting individual who has the ability to make things happen.
· Able to spot when something needs doing and then doing it.
· Able to work with a minimum amount of supervision and on own initiative.
· Can work under own initiative to tight schedules.
· Completing tasks and not leaving them for others to do.
· Load and unload machinery from lorries or other vehicles
· Organise and maintain all stock in the yard
· Operate a wide variety of machinery on and off lorries and around the yard
· Assist with building and assembling machinery as needed
· Perform general maintenance and cleaning of the yard area
· Meeting customers and dealing with their needs and expectations
· Ability to steam clean and clean machinery when needed
· Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
· Communicate effectively with team members
· Maintain and keep the yard organised and clean
· Liaise with administrative staff and assist where needed
· Be in close contact with head office and sales
This is a full-time position with competitive pay. Hours are 07:30 - 17:30 with tea breaks and lunch hour. If you are a motivated individual with the required skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Driving, forklift, telehandler ticket preferable but not essential.
Driving licence REQUIRED.
