We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced Part-Time Chef to join our friendly team at our rehabilitation care home.

Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook nutritious, home-cooked meals for our residents.
· Plan varied and balanced menus in line with residents' preferences and nutritional needs.
· Cater for a range of dietary requirements, including allergies, food intolerances, modified texture diets and special medical diets.
· Ensure high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness are maintained.
· Manage food ordering, stock rotation and minimise waste.
· Work within agreed budgets while maintaining food quality.
· Ensure compliance with Food Standards Agency guidance and food safety legislation.
· Maintain accurate food safety and temperature records.
· Work closely with the care team to ensure residents receive meals that meet their individual needs.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
· Previous experience as a chef or cook, preferably within a care home.
· A good understanding of nutrition and knowledge of food allergies, intolerances and specialist diets, including IDDSI texture-modified meals (desirable).
· A current Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum; Level 3 desirable).
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
· A caring and compassionate approach.
· The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
