Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative / Bottling Specialist to join our dynamic team, starting as soon as possible.
This is a hands-on role based on-site, combining warehouse operations, forklift driving, and bottling line activities. You will be responsible for the safe movement of goods throughout the warehouse, supporting bottling operations, and helping maintain efficient day-to-day warehouse and production activities. Experience within the whisky or spirits industry would be highly advantageous.
Duties
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, move, locate, relocate, stack, and count goods within the warehouse.
- Handle materials and casks with care to prevent damage during transportation and storage.
- Assist with bottling operations, including operating bottling machinery, labelling, packing, and preparing finished goods for dispatch.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on warehouse and bottling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Support shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation of all transactions.
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment by keeping work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
- Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels, stock movements, and storage locations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational targets and production deadlines.
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring adherence to manual handling and safety procedures.
- Assist with stock checks, cask handling, and warehouse housekeeping activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification is essential.
- Experience operating bottling equipment, labelling machinery, or packaging lines would be highly desirable.
- Previous experience within the whisky, spirits, brewing, or beverage industry would be an advantage.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
- Ability to safely handle materials and perform heavy lifting of 25 kg or more when required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- A proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring compliance with all workplace regulations.
- Good teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to support both warehouse and production activities.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with whisky casks or bonded warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of bottling line setup, changeovers, and production procedures.
- Understanding of quality control processes within the spirits industry.
- Counterbalance forklift experience.

Pay: £12.50-£15.00 per hour
