Quality Assurance Officer

Due to growing demand we are currently in search of a Quality Assurance Officer to join our team. This is a permanent role and will report to the Quality Director.
Responsibilities
· Carry out product inspections during the manufacturing process and at the end of production, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and customer specifications.
· Perform random inspections of loads and materials received from suppliers, verifying their compliance with established quality standards.
· Conduct supplier visits to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.
· Carry out product tests and inspections in accordance with the European standard applicable to refuse containers, particularly EN-840/5.
· Inspect and control raw materials and recycled materials upon receipt, including laboratory testing such as MFI and moisture content.
· Manage non-conformities identified within the factory, carrying out the relevant analysis and following up on corrective actions.
· Manage supplier quality complaints, following up on the necessary actions through to resolution.
· Monitor and implement actions aimed at increasing the consumption and use of recycled materials.
· Manage the calibration and/or internal verification of testing and measuring equipment, ensuring that equipment remains accurate and fit for purpose.
· Propose product and process improvements with the aim of enhancing quality, efficiency and reliability.
· Manage quality complaints from UK customers, including incident analysis, resolution, definition and follow-up of corrective action plans, as well as customer visits when required.
· Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental requirements and standards within the plant.
Requirements and skills
· 3 years’ experience in quality control or related roles (essential).
· Degree in quality management or related field (preferred).
· Knowledge of control material equipment use (essential)
· At least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing (essential)
· Knowledge of plastic materials (highly valued)
· Strong knowledge of quality control standards, regulations, and best practices, such as ISO 9001 & 14001 (highly valued)
· Environmental normative knowledge (highly valued)
· Spanish language knowledge (highly valued)

Salary: £30,000.00 – £34,000 per year (DOE)
