General Manager - Energie Fitness Putney
£36,000 - £38,000 per annum
Full-Time | Permanent
We are seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Club Manager to lead the day-to-day operation and performance of our fitness club.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a motivated individual who can drive sales, develop a high-performing team, and deliver an outstanding member experience while maintaining exceptional operational standards.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the club's performance, leading by example and creating a positive, results-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of club performance, including membership growth, retention, revenue and KPI delivery.
- Lead, develop and motivate the club team, including the Assistant Club Manager, Membership Advisors, Personal Trainers and Cleaning Team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure every member receives a positive and professional experience.
- Drive membership sales through effective lead generation, prospect management and conversion activities.
- Build strong relationships within the local community to increase brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
- Ensure the club is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and equipment functionality.
- Manage all day-to-day club operations efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures, company policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement and implement action plans to achieve targets.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Previous gym management experience with responsibility for leading and developing a team.
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering commercial results.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and hold people accountable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Flexibility to work weekends as part of the management rota.
