Are you an Official Veterinarian worried about what your future may bring?
We are seeking a qualified Export Veterinarian to join our team on a full-time, permanent contract, with the progression to a permanent Poultry Vet once the need for Export veterinarians is reduced because of the EU-UK Sanitary and Phytosanitary agreement which is expected to be implemented next year. This role plays a key part in ensuring animals and animal products meet all regulatory and welfare standards for export from the UK.
About us:
Poultry Health Services was founded in 2018, and Sheriff Hutton is our main practice with 6 other bases country wide plus two in house laboratories and a biosecurity company within the group.
Our core work is with commercial poultry farms supplying eggs and meat to supermarkets. We also work for poultry genetic companies and offer consultancy to a number of bodies including pharma companies and research institutions.
We also provide export services to a number of companies in the UK, to complement the poultry and laboratory work that we do.
We are proud to have won the Employer of the Year Award in 2024 at the first ever National Women in Agriculture Awards! We are committed to the support of every single member of our team.

As an Export Veterinarian, you will be responsible for overseeing export health certification and compliance activities, ensuring all exports meet UK and international regulatory requirements.
